Reviews and Ratings
The hotel has a mixed experience, with a lovely onsen and traditional Japanese dining but falls short in terms of room quality and lack of community vibe. The location is excellent near Lake Kawaguchiko but the dining is a bit overpriced for what you get.
My stay at the ryokan was a mix of positives and negatives. The room, a spacious ryokan style with a huge and clean restroom facing the lake, was impressive. However, the toilet smells were off-putting and the hallway cluttered with tables. On the upside, the location provided beautiful views of Mount Fuji and the lake, being a short walk to Kawaguchiko station and near restaurants and stores.
The hotel has a perfect location right by the lake, making it very convenient and offering a memorable visit, with close proximity to public transportation. However, the banquet hall rooms lack privacy, and there are some cleanliness issues with stains on the carpet and an old appearance that differs from the advertising pictures.
